When I hear Vegas I think of bright lights, sin, and maybe a midlife crisis or two.
The lights, they're like a sunset on planet Mars, completely out of this world and rousing. After hours of driving through the desert with nothing but seemingly desolated nature, seeing the Vegas lights suddenly emerge out of nowhere brought a complicated sea of tears to my eyes. I couldn't rationalize what was happening; a mix of fear and relief. I was scared, scared of what lied within the pit of lights, and how I fit into the mix.
I then realized that this unceratinty and insecurity I was feeling was exactly where I needed to be.
